“A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
One of the greatest acts of God's love is His willingness to redirect us.
One of the greatest acts of God’s love is His willingness to redirect us. We often make plans based on what we can see, but God orders our steps according to what He already knows. His direction is not a correction of His plan, it is the unfolding of it.
Every closed door, delayed answer, or unexpected change is not necessarily a denial; it may be divine direction. God sees the destination long before we see the path. What feels like an interruption is often His protection or preparation. He is more committed to your purpose than to your preferences.
The revelation of Proverbs 16:9 is that while we are responsible for planning, God alone has the wisdom to establish our steps. When He changes your direction, He is not taking something from you. He is leading you toward something greater than you could have planned yourself.
Trust His leading, even when it does not make sense. The God who orders your steps has already prepared the place where He is taking you.
I declare that the Lord orders my steps. I will not fear unexpected changes because God’s direction is always for my good and His glory. I trust His wisdom, follow His leading, and walk confidently into His perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
