“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
There comes a moment when preparation must become movement.
There comes a moment when preparation must become movement. Joshua had received the promise of God, but the promise required him to step forward in faith. God did not tell him to wait until he felt completely ready, He commanded him to move with courage because His presence was already with him.
Many people delay their purpose waiting for perfect conditions, more confidence, or a clearer sign. But faith is not the absence of fear; faith is choosing to move because God has spoken. The presence of God is not found only at the destination it goes with you on the journey.
The revelation of Joshua 1:9 is that courage does not come from believing in yourself; it comes from knowing who walks with you. When God calls you forward, He has already gone ahead of you. The step you are afraid to take may be the very step that unlocks the next season of your purpose.
Stop waiting for everything to change before you obey. Start walking, because the God who gave the promise is faithful to fulfill it.
I declare that I will not be controlled by fear or delay. I walk forward in faith, knowing that God is with me wherever I go. My steps are ordered, my purpose is secure, and I will boldly walk into all that God has prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
