“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten...”
God is a God of restoration.
God is a God of restoration. He is not limited by your past, your mistakes, or the seasons you feel were wasted. What has been lost, delayed, or broken is not beyond His ability to redeem.
Many people carry regret over missed opportunities, wrong decisions, or seasons that did not unfold as they hoped. But God does not define your future by your past. He specializes in taking broken pieces and creating something beautiful.
The revelation of Joel 2:25 is that restoration is not always about returning to what was—it is about God bringing something greater out of what you have experienced. He can restore your joy, renew your strength, rebuild your confidence, and use your story for His glory.
The enemy may remind you of what you lost, but God reminds you of what He can restore. Your journey is not over because of yesterday’s battles. The same God who allowed you to survive difficult seasons is the God who can bring new life from them.
Do not remain trapped in regret. Give God your past, trust Him with your present, and believe Him for your future.
I declare that my past does not define my future. God is restoring, renewing, and rebuilding my life according to His purpose. What was lost is not beyond His reach, and I trust Him to make all things beautiful in His time. Amen.
